He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and an Executive MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

DR. CARLOS BORRAS
DR. CARLOS BORRASSenior Research Scientist
Dr. Borras joined NuQuatic in 2018 and leads the core science and technology development at NuQuatic. He is the primary inventor on NuQuatic’s galvanic and electrolytic patent portfolio. Dr. Borras has over 25 years of experience in Electrochemistry, including 15+ years at Simon Bolivar University in Venezuela as Professor of Electrochemistry and Dean of Students. Dr. Borras is considered the original thought leader on the topics of electrochemical oxidation of organic materials and conceptual electrochemical cell design. Leading researchers cite Dr. Borras’s previous work and publications as a contributing basis for current research efforts on the topic of electrochemical oxidation of PFAS and other organic contaminants
KYLE BROADDRICK
KYLE BROADDRICKLead Engineer
Kyle joined NuQuatic in 2024 as Lead Engineer, focused on providing engineering and project management leadership and world-class service to NuQuatic’s customers. Prior to NuQuatic, Kyle spent 4 years as a Senior Project Manager and Engineering Manager with Xylem’s water and wastewater treatment division, where he led a multi-disciplinary team that provided custom, engineered-to-order equipment designs. At Xylem, Kyle also oversaw all engineering design work for a 15-person team spread across the US and India. Additionally, Kyle brings substantial water-related project management and engineering consultancy experience from 7 years with GRAEF. Kyle holds a BS in Civil Engineering from The University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Wisconsin.
DR. ALLISON LEVY
DR. ALLISON LEVYLEAD ANALYTICAL SCIENTIST
Dr. Levy joined NuQuatic in 2026 and leads our internal LCMS analysis for PFAS as well as analytical chemistry efforts at NuQuatic. Prior to NuQuatic, Dr. Levy worked as an LCMS Senior Scientist at Idexx Laboratories doing proteomics biomarker discovery for veterinary diagnostics, and she was a NRC Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Air Force Research Laboratory in Dayton Ohio. She has experience analyzing small synthetic molecules and biological molecules of various sizes, including metabolites, lipids, and proteins.

She is experienced in LCMS method development and optimization for both triple quadrupole and high-resolution mass spectrometry systems such as used for PFAS analysis. She is also experienced in liquid-based separations including HPLC, UPLC, and offline fractionation; as well as additional front end separation methods such as ion mobility and capillary electrophoresis. Further, Dr. Levy is well versed in various sample preparation techniques including solid phase extraction, liquid-liquid extraction, immunoprecipitation, ultracentrifugation, and protein digestion. Dr. Levy holds a Ph. D. in analytical chemistry with a focus in mass spectrometry from the University of Florida.

NADINE KALLAY
NADINE KALLAYChemical Process Engineer
Nadine joined NuQuatic directly after graduating from University of South Florida in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Nadine has been involved with conducting treatability experiments testing the ADVANTAGE™ Process from its early development stages through client demonstrations in the lab and field.
